REVIEW Í Anne of the Island CHARACTERS Ï E-book, or Kindle E-pub ´ L.M. Montgomery Anne Shirley the mischievous carrot topped waif of Anne of Green Gables has grown into a lovely young woman who leaves the se. I know a lot of people are still waiting for their Hogwarts letter and that s fine and all but I m still over here waiting for my formal invitation to attend college with Anne and Gilbert and Philippa and the gangI m sure it just got lost in the mailI adored Anne of Green Gables in spite of the fact that I read it for the first time at 21 years old on a whim having no intention of reading it beforehand and in fact only having a copy at all because it was very pretty and I m very book shallow Against all odds I loved Anne of Avonlea just as muchAnd even unlikely ly I loved Anne of the Island most of all So farThe writing is beautiful The settings are immersive The storylines are charming And somehow all the characters are lovely regardless of whether they ve been there since the beginning or were just introduced two pages ago I love all of themSo you understand my confusion at the fact that I have not yet been invited to Prince Edward Island let alone accepted to Redmond College LET ALONE inducted into Anne s friend groupBut like I said I m sure it s just a matter of timeI love this series way too much to consider the alternativeBottom line GIVE ME THE NEXT ANNE BOOK Please i was late for work because i physically could not put this book downreview to come 5 stars hello i would like to live inside these books and be best friends with anne and also be of the island thank you that is all

REVIEW Í Anne of the Island CHARACTERS Ï E-book, or Kindle E-pub ´ L.M. Montgomery On women ponders the security offered in marriage proposals and a host of other uestions of young adulthood Publisher's Summa. Interesting fact I learned recently LM Montgomery studied at my school Dalhousie University in the late 1800 s I guess Dal here has had some pretty interesting people study on its campus Kind of eerie not in a bad way to think of someone studying here over a hundred years ago like that Anne of the Island is one of several in the Anne of Green Gables series which I hadn t yet read and it s a really great one Anne is leaving for Redmond College in Nova Scotia something which takes her on a new adventure away from teaching where she finds a whole new lifestyle While initially she stays in a boarding house she and her friends move into a cottage However this book isn t only about Anne s collage life The characters from the previous novels in Avonlea are all still entwined in their original stories and Anne finds herself uestioning her friendshiplove for Gilbert as she holds onto other idealsMontgomery s writing really portrays Nova Scotia very well scenically and in terms of the people living here yeah it might be over a century ahead now but some things are still exactly as described in this book Anne of the Island also avoids a saccharine fairytale love story by exploring the complications and joys life can present in a realistic honest way that still ends up being uplifting
