The Shepherd's Bride

The Shepherd's Bride review Í E-book, or Kindle E-pub Where he works Carl sees the wife he once dreamed of Lizzie is looking for a new start for herself and her sisters and discovers Carl to be a kind and gentle man who I ll admit I wasn t expecting much from this book I thought it was going to be cheesy sloppily written romancebut that s what I get for judging a book by its cover I was soon proven wrong This book is excellent sweet simple and satisfying The characters were complex and lovable the plot was engaging and well paced Lizzie s uest to save Clara and the rest of her sisters from an arranged marriage and the tyrannical rule of their uncle was something I could get behind That and her forbidden love for Carl an ex Amish shepherd with a tortured past had me completely hooked The book was a little over 200 pages which is short compared to what I normally read Still the story didn t feel crammed It was a uick but smooth read conveniently not too short and not too long I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a heart warming interesting clean Christian romance to devour in one afternoon All in all The Shepherd s Bride definitely exceeded my expectationsI received this book free through Goodreads First Reads in exchange for an honest review

The Shepherd's Bride review Í E-book, or Kindle E-pub Cares deeply about the Amish way of life But he is under the bann Is it possible that this forbidden man holds the key to her family's safety and the one to her heart 4 STARSI really liked the character Lizzie She risked so much for her sisters To keep them safe and happy She was a hard worker Hasfaith in what she believes in Willing to give up her only possession of her mother s To take the chance she had for her sister s freedomCarl King is to be admired He failed to live up to his beliefs once and paid a high price In the process he saved a young girl s life Personally either way he went could have been the right choice I liked the choice he made Carl has been shunned from the Amish faith He still believes and mostly keeps to their waysThe setting takes place on a Amish sheep farm It made the sheep seem so real to me Makes me want to go and watch the fields of the lambs playing Maybe I will in a couple of monthsI liked the Amish community that welcomed Lizzie and were willing to offer jobs to her sisters before they met them to helpThis is a clean read It is not afraid to mention prayer beliefs and forgivenessI want to know what happens next to Lizzie s three sisters I look forward to reading books by Patricia DavidsI was given this ebook to read and in return asked to give honest review of it by Netgalley and Harleuinpublication March 18th 2014 by Harleuin Love Inspired 288 Pages ISBN 9780373878772

Patricia Davids Kindle ePUB or Pdf The Shepherd's Bride This Amish tale is inspirational fiction but without the preaching emphasis is on the practicalities of helping one another in the community The start reminded me of the sisters in 'Fiddler On The Roof' as four sisters on an Indiana farm worry over who they will marry The Amish don't go for arranged marriages but respect for their elders means that they should obey the uncle who houses them in this Plain commu

Patricia Davids Kindle ePUB or Pdf The Shepherd's Bride It's been a while since I read the previous book in this series so I appreciated the little 'reintroductions' that took place when Lizzie would meet someone new in Hope Springs Though because these books can be read as stand alone novels or in whichever order you choose to read the series I didn't really NEED them to understand what was going
