SUMMARY Ø eBook, ePUB or Kindle PDF ☆ Alice Hoffman
REVIEW Green Witch ✓ eBook, ePUB or Kindle PDF From bestselling author Alice Hoffman a resonant tale of overcoming grief and tragedy as only she could t This is like lazy fan fiction from a fan who wanted to continue writing about the characters that left in Green Angel Also a fantasy novel shouldn t mean that all the rules can be broken There must be some believability in it Too many things were convenient and way too safe for a place that s supposed to be in a dangerous post apocalyptic setting This is also clearly a seuel that cannot be read alone or out of order so every time Green kept talking about her past it felt like that made up for 50% of the book which we already knew aboutSpoilers aheadDiamond gave me the impression that he was just a friend in Green Angel Apparently in Green Witch he is the romantic love of her life she has been dying forwhich would have been perfectly fine if it didn t seem so unbelievable later She finally decides to search for him and the process ends up being so easy it s laughableEverything else is convenient from here she easily finds and frees Diamond and his family he somehow found a way to tattoo himself in prison to match her tattoos too learned to speak her language fluently locks two guards into a cell easily without any mention of how he fought them and knows where Heather is when he didn t even know who she was in the first book This is all within three pagesWhen Green easily breaks through the THREE locks on Heather s cell it made no sense to me The locks were implying how dangerous Heather was but there was no explanation for why they found her as such a threat especially when she has a baby she gave birth to during her imprisonment And security really sucks for this place so the prison doesn t even seem so dangerous Of course the first thing Heather says when Green frees her is I didn t give him a name Now Green can name a baby which is somehow just like Green It sounds like the baby is her daughter not Heather sSomething that also bothered me was that there was a woman who lived in a high tower that you could only reach by climbing a rickety ladder Her home is so high that Green says that she passed through a CLOUD Then after the woman feeds Green and they have a conversation it s revealed that the woman turned BLIND on the day of the fire a year ago What the heck So this woman lost her eyesight and somehow managed to travel and make a home in a high tower post accident How did she even live up there with no sight anyway And how did she come down the tower to visit Green at the end Don t tell me it s because she can see the future because being psychic doesn t mean it grants you eyesight to navigate your way around I can t even say this is a minor nuisance because the book is barely 130 pages with a small number of words per page so this woman takes up a good amount of length for me to point it out And lastly Green became an omniscient narrator which didn t work for me She knew what people were thinking and we have no choice but to know she is correct So what was uniue about this book Nothing Green makes customized paper for each person to hear their story and finds all the characters that left in the first book That s pretty much it I don t see any character development I mean what development could there be if everything worked out perfectly with NO explanations There s no conflict because it was all so easyI am so disappointed in this seuel Of course I m happy to know there s a happy ending I loved the characters in Green Angel My only issue with this book was the poor writing ualityThe only reason why I think it deserves a star is that I m glad there was a closure that all of the fans wanted which is a pretty bias thing for me to do for rating a book I can t even hate this because I can feel at peace about what happened to everyone afterward I would have given this 0 stars if it ruined everythingI actually wouldn t discourage a fan to read it because this is all about a happy closure All it does it give answers to those who are curious about where the characters ended up Unfortunately the problem for me is that it felt like a joke I would not recommend it to a fan who wants the literary uality to be just as good as Green Angel
REVIEW Green Witch
REVIEW Green Witch ✓ eBook, ePUB or Kindle PDF Ell it In this powerful lovely seuel to GREEN ANGEL Green must learn the stories of a number of witches a Personal ResponsePersonally I really liked the book Green Witch The fact that the whole book is in first person only adds to the book s story It makes it feel like the book is written by the main character and is not just any old fairytale and considering the main character is a writer makes it even believable and makes the story flow a lot betterPlot SummaryThe book is about a girl named Green who lost her family and the love of her life to a radical terrorist group called The Horde She becomes a gifted writer and farmer after her city was burned down by The Horde She becomes a natural leader and the people of her village look up to her Many people would tell her their stories on how they lost their loved ones and how it affected them One day she hears about some gossip going around on people called the Enchanted who are supposed witches She herself was said to be the green witch because of her unnatural gardening abilities She then goes on a journey to hear the other witches stories and hopefully find her loveRecommendations I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a light read but of an interesting book Green Witch is an interesting book that cuts the size of a normal book to a little over a 100 pages Even though the book is small the author put a lot of cool facts and other interesting side stories into the book to make it interesting to older audiencesCharacterizationThroughout the book the Main character Green did not change all that much At the beginning of the book Green stays kind of secluded and helps a lot of people who come her way Later she decides to go on an adventure to meet all the Enchanted and to find her love who was someone she healed
